Casual Social Care Workers - Multiple locations throughout RCT

The role…

The role will require you to provide support to individuals with learning disabilities within a community based Respite Service.

  • Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential, as successful applicants will be expected to bring their own life experiences and skills to the role.
  • A robust induction and ongoing support throughout your employment will be provided to ensure you maximize your potential and work to the best of your ability.
  • You will need to have obtained or demonstrate an ability to work towards the necessary professional qualification and prove commitment to the role.
  • There is also a requirement to register as a Social Care Worker with Social Care Wales within six months of appointment and maintain continuous registration thereafter.

Due to services being delivered 365 days per year, successful applicants will be required to cover a range of shifts on a rota basis, including but not limited to; evenings, weekends, Bank holidays including Christmas & New Year. The role will also require the ability to work night shifts and sleep in shift patterns.

Casual staff will need to be flexible and available at short notice to support and cover periods of absence of permanent staff during the week, weekends and nights.
