Shakespeare’s Globe is currently seeking a Casual Ticketing and Sales Duty Manager to provide weekend cover.
We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion across our organisation. Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and the Global Majority are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single specification. If you’re excited about the role but your experience or qualifications don’t perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups such as the Global Majority, LGBTQIA+, those with a disability and neurodiverse conditions.
The role:
Casual Ticketing and Sales Duty Managers provide essential weekend operational support to the Ticketing and Sales team, ensuring the highest quality of service is delivered to our patrons, customers and staff. Working primarily across weekends and busy performance days, the role provides a key point of leadership within the department, supporting the smooth running of the Box Office and Ticketing operation. The postholder will assist customers with ticketing enquiries, resolve issues as they arise, and ensure our visitors receive a welcoming and efficient service.
The Casual Ticketing and Sales Duty Manager will support the Ticketing and Sales Management team by overseeing day-to-day operations, supervising colleagues during shifts, and acting as a point of contact for the team in the absence of the Ticketing and Sales Managers. They will also advise customers on all of the Globe’s activities by selling and actively promoting our wide range of performances, events, education activities, memberships and visitor experiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
