Salary: £12.82 to £13.60 (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Our Silks Farm Day Nursery is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Casual Worker to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity, and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Our Silks Farm Day Nursery and Preschool in the Huntingdon area offers an array of exceptional features that contribute to our high-quality childcare. These include 7 acres of scenic land, open and bright playrooms, Forest School sessions, and a team of longstanding, highly qualified staff dedicated to each child’s development and happiness.

7 Acres of Outdoor Space

Our outdoor environment is designed to allow free-flow access throughout the day. Children can explore our much-loved forest nature trail and enjoy the benefits of outdoor learning.

Forest School Area

We are passionate about Forest School principals and incorporate them into daily activities within our dedicated outdoor learning space.

Chef On-Site

Our on-site chef prepares nutritious and delicious meals each day, carefully catering to all dietary requirements and allergies.

Location

Set in rural Cambridgeshire, we are located between Somersham village and St Ives retail park, near Cuckoobridge Farm Shop. The nursery is easily accessible by car and offers ample parking.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Provide a positive practice role model to ensure that Grandir UK values are maintained
  • Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents, and children
  • Supervise and support children at all times
  • Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment
  • Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified Practitioners
  • Read, understand, and implement all company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Ensure that any changes to policies, procedures, and operational practices are adhered to within the required timescale
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage
  • Notify your line manager of any concerns or issues regarding company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors, and work colleagues
  • Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
  • Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings, and undertake training as required
