Your new company
Your new company is a highly regarded London Market insurer with a strong reputation within the legacy and run-off market. Following continued growth and portfolio acquisitions, the business is looking to strengthen its Claims function with the appointment of a Casualty Claims Handler on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and technically strong claims team, handling a diverse portfolio of run-off insurance and reinsurance business.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for handling a range of Casualty claims from notification through to conclusion, including both straightforward and complex matters. The portfolio will include Employers' Liability, Public Liability, General Liability and Construction Defects claims, with exposure to both insurance and reinsurance business.
- Working closely with brokers, adjusters, lawyers, underwriters and other market stakeholders, you will proactively manage claims, identify opportunities to add value, control expenses and support favourable outcomes for all interested parties.
- You will also contribute to internal reporting processes and work closely with other business functions to ensure claims are handled in accordance with regulatory requirements, market standards and internal guidelines.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous London Market Casualty claims experience and a strong understanding of Casualty claims handling principles. Exposure to Employers' Liability, Public Liability, General Liability and Construction Defects claims is essential, whilst experience handling Casualty Reinsurance claims would be highly advantageous.
- You will be a strong communicator who is comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and capable of managing technically challenging claims in a professional and commercial manner.
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment is key.
