Motor Personal Injury Claims Adjuster
Location: Leeds
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract: Full-time
Overview
Our client, an international insurer, is looking for a Motor Personal Injury Claims Adjuster to manage a varied caseload of personal injury claims from investigation through to settlement.
You will assess policy coverage and liability, negotiate claims, pursue recoveries and maintain accurate reserves, while working with internal and external stakeholders. The role offers hybrid working and a strong benefits package, including 30 days’ holiday and a 10% employer pension contribution.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve motor personal injury claims, delivering effective claims handling while minimizing leakage.
- Assess policy coverage and liability in line with contractual commitments.
- Identify and pursue subrogation, contribution and other recovery opportunities where appropriate.
- Manage claims through to economic and timely settlement.
- Respond to claims advice, fees and stakeholder requests within agreed service standards.
- Identify and escalate complaints appropriately and support fair customer outcomes.
- Maintain accurate reserves and up-to-date knowledge of the claims portfolio.
- Provide claims information to support underwriting and wider claims decisions.

Requirements
- Excellent investigative skills.
- Proven experience dealing with policy coverage.
- Experience of liability negotiations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Relationship management skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint effectively.
