Casualty Claims Handler - North-West - Hybrid - Up to £29,000

A leading insurance services business is seeking an experienced Casualty Claims Handler to join its growing team based in the North-West. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience handling liability claims to take ownership of a varied caseload, providing a proactive, cradle-to-grave claims service on behalf of insurer and public sector clients.

As a Casualty Claims Handler, you’ll manage claims from initial notification through to settlement, making decisions on cover and liability, investigating claims and negotiating settlements. You’ll also work closely with clients and external stakeholders while benefiting from a supportive and collaborative team environment.

The Role

  • Managing a varied casualty claims caseload from notification through to settlement
  • Handling Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims, including more complex injury matters
  • Establishing policy coverage and reviewing policy wording and terms and conditions
  • Investigating liability claims through desktop investigations or by instructing loss adjusters
  • Making informed decisions on liability and assessing the value of injury claims
  • Negotiating settlements with claimants, solicitors and other external stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records on the digital claims-handling system
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal timescales, processes and regulatory requirements
  • Building strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders
  • Attending client claims review meetings where required, either in person or virtually
  • Providing guidance and support to less experienced colleagues where appropriate

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
