Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and proven Casualty Adjuster to join our growing Casualty Specialist Practice in the UK. This is a home-based role, and we will consider applicants across the UK who have relevant experience.
Key Accountabilities
We are seeking an individual with the drive and talent to underpin our reputation in the Casualty market for technical excellence and service. Reporting to our Real Estate Team Leader, you will be required to:
- Manage a broad portfolio of Real Estate casualty claims, from investigation to settlement, with speed and accuracy.
- Adopt a very client-focused approach to all aspects of the role.
- Liaise with all stakeholders across both our UK and European Divisions including the insured, insurers, and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims.
- Produce high-quality reports and regular communication, in compliance with our professional standards and internal guidelines and with agreed timescales.
- Ensure time reporting and billing is accurate and completed in a timely manner and in line with internal standards.
- Deliver accurate and timely MI reports and quarterly WIP review.
- Undertake projects and other ad hoc work as required.
- Actively contribute towards McLarens’ business development programme through networking, relationship management, and identifying and facilitating opportunities for business growth.
Experience and Qualifications
- Ambitious self-starter with experience in the casualty loss adjusting sector and/or allied professions.
- CIP, CILA, and/or CII qualifications preferred.
- Full UK Driving Licence and be willing to travel.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to self-manage multiple priorities, and conflicting demands.
- Experience with Real Estate/Property Owners liability claims and be comfortable assessing contractual liabilities, ideally dealt with liability claims across Europe but not essential.
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- A methodical, accurate, and analytical approach.
- A sense of responsibility for and pride in the quality of your work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; clear, concise, and structured.
- Strong relationship/stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with your team, colleagues, and third parties.
- Be a referral point to other team members who would be seeking technical input and advice.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the drive to meet and exceed targets.
- A positive reputation in the Broker and Insurer market would also be advantageous.
