Catastrophic Injury Senior Solicitor – Liverpool – Up to £65,000

A leading UK law firm is looking to recruit a Catastrophic Injury Senior Solicitor to join its specialist personal injury team in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced defendant personal injury solicitor to work on a varied caseload of high-value and complex injury claims. You will work alongside experienced lawyers on matters involving serious and life-changing injuries, with exposure to complex litigation and the opportunity to develop your career within a specialist team.

The Role:

  • Manage your own caseload of high-value and complex personal injury claims
  • Handle defendant work across motor, employers' liability and public liability matters
  • Assist with the investigation and early assessment of complex claims
  • Review evidence, identify key issues and develop appropriate case strategies
  • Liaise with insurers, solicitors, experts, witnesses and other relevant parties
  • Instruct and work closely with medical and other specialist experts
  • Attend court hearings, conferences and settlement meetings where required
  • Draft correspondence, reports, case strategies and other legal documentation
  • Work closely with senior colleagues on complex and high-value matters
  • Support and supervise junior members of the team where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure matters are progressed in line with agreed deadlines and client requirements
  • Keep up to date with developments in personal injury law and relevant procedural requirements
  • Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the team

About You:

  • A Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE
  • Experience managing a defendant personal injury litigation caseload
  • Experience in motor, employers' liability or public liability work
  • Experience of high-value or complex personal injury claims would be advantageous
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of client requirements
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to case management
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines
  • Confident working independently while contributing positively to a wider team
  • A proactive and motivated approach to client service and career development
  • Comfortable working with technology and legal case management systems
