Leading catastrophic injury team continues to grow and is looking to hire two solicitors to specialise in large loss work.
Personal Injury Solicitor – Catastrophic Injury
Manchester City Centre | Hybrid Working | 1+ PQE
A leading specialist injury practice is seeking a Personal Injury Solicitor to join its growing Catastrophic Injury team in Manchester. Ideally, the Partners are looking for candidates with 1 PQE or more, but strong NQs will be considered.
Overview
- Title: Associate
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £45,000 to £60,000
- Reports to: Partner
- Previous experience: Strong personal injury experience either in RTA or EL/PL. Candidates should have experience of handling a litigated caseload.
Working alongside a highly regarded Partner, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in serious and catastrophic injury litigation while gaining exposure to high-value, complex claims that are rarely available at this level.

This role offers a genuine opportunity to move away from volume-driven litigation and focus on quality, technically challenging work, with direct access to senior lawyers and significant responsibility from the outset.
More about the work
You will advise on a broad range of serious and catastrophic injury matters, including:
- High-value Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims
- Employers' Liability (EL) claims
- Public Liability (PL) claims
- Complex multi-track litigation
- Catastrophic and life-changing injury cases
- Claims involving significant quantum and liability disputes
- Strategic case management and detailed liability investigations

You will manage your own caseload while assisting on larger, high-value matters, many of which involve substantial six and seven-figure settlements.
Ideally minimum of 1 PQE
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with at least 1 year's PQE, including NQs who have gained relevant personal injury experience.
You will ideally have:
- Experience handling RTA, EL/PL or broader personal injury litigation matters
- Exposure to litigated claims, whether fast-track or multi-track
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive and collaborative approach
- A genuine interest in serious injury and catastrophic injury litigation
