Leading law firm looking to strengthen catastrophic injury offering.

Catastrophic Injury Solicitor - Liverpool

Our client boasts one of the top catastrophic injury teams in the country. Due to an increase in work flow, they are now looking to hire two talented solicitors and are considering qualified lawyers at all levels from both claimant and defendant backgrounds.

Summary

  • Title: Solicitor / Associate / Senior Associate
  • Location: Liverpool | Hybrid working
  • Salary: £45,000 - £65,000
  • PQE: 1 PQE +
  • Reports to: Legal Director and Partner
  • Experience: Strong personal experience ideally including catastrophic injury. Candidates from both a claimant and defendant background will be considered.

More about the opportunity

Our client’s national large loss injury team handles an varied range of claims including motor, employers’ liability, public liability and product liability matter. These cases frequently involve brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and substantial dependency.

Working closely with a partner and experienced lawyers, you will manage your own caseload while assisting with some of the team’s most complex catastrophic injury matters. Depending on your level, you will also have opportunities to contribute to the supervision and development of junior colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of catastrophic and high-value defendant personal injury claims across motor and EL/PL
  • Assisting with initial investigations, liability and quantum analysis, and case strategy
  • Preparing reports, reserve recommendations, action plans and other advice for clients
  • Identifying and instructing appropriate medical and non-medical experts
  • Attending court hearings, conferences and joint settlement meetings where required
  • Complying with the Civil Procedure Rules, rehabilitation protocols and relevant client requirements

This is an excellent opportunity for a personal injury solicitor to develop their career within a leading national law firm, handling complex and high-value claims on behalf of major insurer and corporate clients.

Who we are looking for

You will ideally be a qualified solicitor with experience managing complex personal injury litigation. Experience of motor, employers’ liability or public liability claims is preferred. Previous exposure to high-value or catastrophic injury work would be advantageous but is not essential, making this an attractive opportunity for a capable personal injury lawyer looking to move into more complex injury work.
