Catastrophic Personal Injury Solicitor - Liverpool - Up to £45,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Catastrophic Personal Injury Solicitor to join a leading defendant insurance litigation team based in Liverpool.

The successful Catastrophic Personal Injury Solicitor will manage a caseload of complex, high-value personal injury claims while supporting senior lawyers on catastrophic injury matters involving life-changing injuries across a broad range of insurance disputes.

The Role:

  • Manage a caseload of complex and high-value defendant personal injury claims
  • Assist senior lawyers on catastrophic injury matters involving motor, employer's liability and public liability claims
  • Investigate liability, causation and quantum, preparing strategic advice for insurer clients
  • Review evidence and identify any additional enquiries required
  • Liaise with insurers, counsel, experts, witnesses and other key stakeholders
  • Instruct medical and non-medical experts throughout the lifecycle of claims
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, reports, correspondence and settlement documentation
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, conferences and settlement meetings where required
  • Maintain accurate case records, action plans and key litigation deadlines
  • Support the development of junior team members where appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules, rehabilitation principles and internal procedures
  • Keep up to date with developments in catastrophic injury and personal injury litigation

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 0-3 years' PQE
  • Experience handling defendant personal injury litigation, ideally involving motor or EL/PL claims
  • Previous experience of catastrophic injury or other high-value claims is beneficial but not essential
  • Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation process
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team
