What you'll be doing

As a Category Assistant in the Haircare team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the shopping experience at Boots. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring that compelling promotions are effectively set up and managed. Collaborating with various teams, you will help deliver a competitive and customer-led product range that drives sales and profit.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of customer promotions in store by setting up campaign offers such as 3 for 2 and Half Price on the Boots SAP system.
  • Collaborate with marketing and pricing teams to ensure promotional setups are accurate from the start.
  • Confirm promotional funding with suppliers and log it correctly for invoicing.
  • Check invoice calculations and work with the Trading Process team to ensure correct amounts are raised.
  • Assist the assistant category manager in reviewing competitor pricing activity.
  • Support the stores help desk and customer care team with category-related queries.
  • Run sales reports and analyse data for the team and suppliers, aiding in weekly reporting.
  • Raise Purchase Orders for marketing and merchandising activities.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • In-depth understanding of various SAP programmes.
  • Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and via Teams or email.
  • Developed knowledge of category strategy, performance, and range.
