Up to £30,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)
Scunthorpe (hybrid working – you’ll spend a minimum of three days per week in the office)

About the Role

Co-op Wholesale is growing, and we’re looking for talented people who want to shape what comes next. As a Category Assistant in our Trading team, you’ll make sure the right information sits behind every product we buy and sell across our direct-to-store category. This is a fast-paced area of wholesale that gets products into stores more quickly; bypassing our central warehouses, reducing handling, and helping our partners respond faster to demand.

From keeping data up to date and loading promotions, to supporting the delivery of key reports and paperwork, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Why this role matters

Exciting things are happening at Co-op Wholesale. We’re growing fast, strengthening our offer for retailers, key accounts, and corporate partners, and we need great people to be part of that journey.

This role is essential to making sure the right products are available to order at the right time and the right price for our partners, creating a smooth experience for them and their customers. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain accurate product, price, and supplier data in internal systems
  • Support teams with reports, documentation, and meeting preparation
  • Load promotions and commercial terms into systems
  • Resolve pricing and payment queries quickly and effectively
  • Track timelines, flag risks, and help embed new processes
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and partners to keep everyone aligned
  • Make sure we’re always compliant with legal and regulatory standards, including GSCOP

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
