Strategic Procurement Manager - Bakery

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement professional to join a successful, food manufacturing business.

This position offers the chance to play a key role in developing and embedding best-in-class procurement practices across a broad range of direct spend categories. Working closely with senior stakeholders throughout the business, you will drive sourcing activity, deliver commercial value, strengthen supplier relationships, and help elevate procurement's influence across the organisation.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants genuine visibility within a business, and is motivated by creating improvements rather than simply maintaining existing processes.

The Role

Reporting into the MD, you will lead a wide range of strategic sourcing and category projects across indirect spend.

The role will be project-focused, managing opportunities across multiple categories and supporting the continued development of procurement capability across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
