Job Overview

About The Role

As a B2B Category Buyer at AO, you’ll take ownership of defined product ranges across our B2B operation, sourcing and managing branded products while keeping a close eye on market trends, competitor activity and commercial opportunities. You’ll work closely with suppliers and teams across the business, building strong relationships and using your commercial judgement to make decisions around ranges, promotions, stock and performance. It’s a varied, hands-on buying role with plenty of opportunity to collaborate, negotiate and make an impact across our B2B business. We know we work better when we’re together, so all our AOers come into the Bolton office Monday to Friday. We collaborate more easily, have continual conversations, we’re more creative, give better support, and all this makes us more motivated and even better at what we do.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Source and implement branded ranges across our Business Solutions and Insurance pillars
  • Negotiate bespoke promotions to support the Trade UK team
  • Manage the Fixtures & Fittings category
  • Negotiate product support with suppliers in a fluctuating market
  • Analyse sales performance and turn the numbers into clear commercial actions
  • Plan and deliver an effective promotional strategy
  • Monitor competitors, market fluctuations and emerging trends, reacting to opportunities
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers across AV, CE, SDA and MDA
  • Manage stock holding and aged stock within agreed KPIs
  • Work collaboratively across the business to deliver the right ranges and commercial outcomes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
