More About The Role

As a Category Executive in our Produce Commercial Team, you will be a vital part of driving the Produce Category growth strategy and building strong business relationships with core customers. You will act as the owner of Produce Category expertise - gathering, analysing, and summarising shopper insights, market data, and food trends to deliver actionable, revenue-boosting recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insight & Data Leadership: Analyse and translate shopper insights, market data, and retailer trends into clear, actionable presentations and commercial stories.
  • Customer & Category Reviews: Deliver agreed reporting schedules to internal and external customers (including Morrisons), managing range review recommendations, range changes, and tracking NPD (New Product Development) performance.
  • Strategic Growth: Partner with the Commercial Team to help deliver 3-year plans for revenue, margin mix, and profitability growth. Proactively identify gaps in the market and recommend solutions.
  • Collaboration & NPD: Work closely with Procurement, Site Operations, and Buying teams to support end-to-end supply chain innovation and aid the delivery of operationally aligned NPD and EPD (Existing Product Development).
  • Stakeholder Management: Present key findings to senior leadership teams, build positive relationships across sites, and step up to support Category Controller responsibilities in senior meetings when needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
