Exciting Opportunity for a Category Insights Manager
An exciting consumer goods business is looking for a Category Insights Manager to join the team on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business and play a key role in delivering category insights, reporting, and commercial recommendations that drive decision-making and support growth.
Hybrid Working
- 2 days a week in the office
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- Start date: ASAP
- Salary: £50,000 - £65,000
The Job
As the Category Insights Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading category reporting, analysis, and insight generation across the business
- Turning shopper, sales, and market data into actionable recommendations that support business growth
- Managing dashboards, reporting processes, and performance tracking
- Identifying opportunities through promotional and NPD performance analysis
- Working with third-party data and research providers to ensure high-quality insights
- Supporting reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Acting as a key contact for category and insight requests from internal stakeholders
- Presenting clear recommendations that influence commercial decision-making

You
- Strong Dunnhumby experience is essential
- Category management and insights experience within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into commercial recommendations
- Experience working with shopper, customer, and market data sources
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Agency experience would be advantageous
- Commercially minded with a proactive and curious approach
