About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Category Leader – Indirect Procurement to join the Pelsis Group Procurement Centre of Excellence and take ownership of key indirect spend categories across our global business. This is a strategic and highly commercial role with the opportunity to influence how we manage categories including logistics, facilities, professional services, IT, marketing and capex-related services.

Working across multiple business units and partnering with stakeholders across Finance, IT, Operations, HR, Marketing and Legal, you’ll develop and deliver category strategies that create sustainable value, strengthen our supplier partnerships and improve how we manage indirect spend globally.

You’ll play an important role in our wider cost transformation and operational effectiveness agenda, balancing commercial value with supply resilience, sustainability, risk and long-term business needs.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Take ownership of global indirect spend categories, developing and delivering category strategies that support both immediate priorities and our longer-term business plans.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier consolidation and competitive tendering to deliver sustainable cost savings and commercial value.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership, improve working capital and drive greater efficiency across our indirect spend.
  • Lead high-value commercial negotiations covering service contracts, rate structures, SLAs, terms and conditions and multi-year agreements.
  • Build strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers, moving beyond transactional procurement to develop partnerships that support innovation, service and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear supplier performance measures across quality, service, delivery, compliance, cost and sustainability.
  • Use data, market intelligence and benchmarking to identify opportunities and provide stakeholders with clear commercial insight to support decision-making.
  • Strengthen supplier and category risk management, including financial stability, business continuity, data security, ESG, compliance and legal considerations.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the global business to understand their requirements, challenge where appropriate and ensure procurement strategies support wider commercial and operational objectives.
  • Drive greater consistency in procurement processes, policies and governance across our regions and business units.
  • Support wider strategic initiatives including business transformation, outsourcing decisions, footprint expansion and the integration of acquired businesses.
  • Act as an ambassador for Procurement across Pelsis, helping to demonstrate the value that effective category management can bring to the wider organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
