MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Category Manager - Technology Procurement - (12 month FTC)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to join a leading global organisation, taking ownership of key technology procurement categories.

You will develop and deliver category strategies, manage supplier relationships, lead commercial negotiations and identify opportunities to improve value, cost and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies
  • Leading supplier selection, tendering and commercial negotiations.
  • Managing contract negotiations, renewals and supplier performance.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies and improved commercial value.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Technology and the wider business.
  • Ensuring procurement activity is carried out in line with internal governance, risk and compliance requirements.
  • Supporting wider transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.

About You

  • Strong experience within Technology/IT Procurement or Category Management.
  • Experience managing complex supplier relationships and commercial contracts.
  • A proven track record of delivering successful negotiations and cost savings.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work with senior leaders.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical ability.
  • Experience developing and implementing category strategies.
  • The ability to operate effectively within a large, complex or global organisation.
