The role
As Category Manager you will lead the growth of a key category driving strategic growth, commercial performance and development of the category.
The Category Manager will:
- Own the category strategy, growth roadmap and performance, identifying and prioritizing opportunities for growth
- Manage the supply base and manage strategic supplier partnerships that support category innovation and commercial growth
- Develop practical project plans and drive implementation across stores, engaging with store and regional teams
- Analyse category performance, identifying trends, performance gaps and opportunities for growth
- Work collaboratively with multiple functions including marketing and operations to deliver initiatives that support category performance
Ideal candidate
This Category Manager role is ideal for a commercial individual who has FMCG buying and category planning experience gained from UK food major retailers.

You will have:
- A proven track record of developing and delivering a successful category strategy that delivers growth in sales and profit
- The ability to demonstrate the ability to deliver cross functional initiatives and drive implementation across multiple stakeholders
- A passion for the customer, product and a flair for commerciality
- Excellent relationship building skills, able to communicate and influence with internal and external stakeholders
- Good insight and data analysis skills, able to action opportunities to drive sales and profit
- Excellent planning and organization skills and be able to work independently on your own initiative, a self-starter with can-do attitude
- Be an excellent communicator and the type of individual who makes things happen

- Excellent package – up to £90,000 plus bonus and benefits
- Location – 1-2 days a week in Central London, with some travel to stores from time to time
