Category Manager - Bradford
As a Category Manager in Bradford within the retail industry, you'll play a key role in shaping the marketing strategies and managing agency partnerships to drive the success of the business. Our client is a leading UK FMCG wholesaler with a strong market presence and an extensive supplier network. The business continues to grow its catering proposition and is investing in its category management function. Description
As a Category Manager you will:
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and profitability.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing and agency teams to deliver effective campaigns.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate agreements to maximise value.
- Monitor category performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with business objectives.
- Present findings and strategies to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
- Proven experience in category management within the retail industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in working with marketing teams and external agencies.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives.
- Knowledge of supplier negotiations and relationship management.
