Category Manager
This Category Manager role in the Not For Profit sector is based in Aylesbury and focuses on managing procurement categories to drive value and efficiency. You'll play a key part in overseeing supplier relationships and ensuring the organisation gets the best possible outcomes from its supply chain.

Description
- Develop and manage category strategies to meet organisational objectives.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure value for money and quality services.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong working relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
- Analyse market trends to inform procurement decisions and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
- Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders on category performance.
Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
- Ability to analyse data and market trends effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A relevant qualification in procurement or supply chain is desirable.

Job Offer
- Salary between £50,000 and £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- 6% pension contribution.
- 25 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays.

- Strategy development.
- Tendering.
- Commercial and contract negotiations.
- Supplier relationship management.
- Demonstratable stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Knowledge:
- Category Management principles.
- Best practice procurement principles.
- Evaluation, commercial and risk analysis.
- Change and Project Management.
- Knowledge of key commercial contract risks and opportunities.
