Initial 12 month fixed term contract
Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Category Manager to join a growing Procurement & Supply Chain function.
Initially on a 12 month fixed term contract, with potential to go permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high-value spend categories and develop strategic sourcing initiatives across a diverse portfolio of goods, services and operational spend.
You'll play a key role in delivering commercial value, driving supplier performance, and shaping category strategies that support long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies across a broad spend portfolio.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities.
- Build strong supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
- Analyse spend and market data to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
- Support contract negotiations, renewals, and supplier risk management.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand future requirements and procurement priorities.
- Deliver measurable savings, efficiencies, and commercial outcomes.

About You
- Proven Category Management experience within a strategic procurement environment.
- Experience on major infrastructure projects and NEC contracts would be highly beneficial.
- Strong sourcing, negotiation, and contract management capabilities.
- Experience developing and delivering category strategies.
- Excellent analytical and spend analysis skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
