Are you a data driven category marketer who translates data into insights, and produces unmatched creative storytelling presentations to both internal and external stakeholders? Is a company who looks after it’s employees and has a track record of delivering on internal progression, a company that sounds like they could be your next employer? If so, then my client has an opportunity that you won’t be able to say no to!
The role requires 1 day a week in their North Yorkshire offices. People tend to come as far as Manchester and the northwest, as well as up in the Northeast. There is plenty of flex on offer with this amazing business!
Signature Career Management have exclusively partnered with a global blue-chip food company who are a household name in the frozen food category. With a history spanning well over 60 years, they are still going from strength to strength and have huge growth plans for the next 5 years. They are constantly adding exciting new products to their portfolio (with 4 new acquisitions over the last 4 years!) to build a diversified presence across multiple channels and categories. They are looking to bring on a Category Manager who has experience with category across the e-commerce channel. Think Tesco dotcom for example, you might have managed this as part of the total Tesco account, and whilst it might not have been purely a role focused on grocery retail dotcom, exposure in managing this is what they are looking for. The question you need to ask yourself is maybe not can I do this (because you will know if you can), but do you want to do a role that purely focuses on this?
This is a pivotal specialist role at the forefront of ecommerce growth. As Category Manager – Retail Ecommerce, you will shape and execute winning category strategies across key retail ecommerce channels, driving performance through insight-led plans that unlock sustainable growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
