Category Manager (Media Broadcast & Transmission)

Contract Length: 6-9 months
Day Rate: £550-£650 p/d via Umbrella
Location: Winchester, 1 day per week onsite

Overview

This role supports Media Broadcast & Transmission category and requires a commercially minded procurement professional who can partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, legal and commercial teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting new product development, supplier sourcing, contract negotiations and procurement activities within a highly technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Procurement Business Partner supporting media broadcast and transmission categories.
  • Work alongside product managers to source suppliers for new and existing products.
  • Support innovation and product development initiatives.
  • Manage sourcing and procurement activities for technical equipment, software and transmission infrastructure.
  • Support customer bid activity from a procurement and commercial perspective.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and contract discussions.
  • Build strong relationships across legal, commercial, engineering and product teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong procurement business partnering experience.
  • Background in technology, IT, telecoms, software, infrastructure or transformation programmes.
  • Good commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting bids and commercial tenders.
  • Strong contract negotiation and contract management expertise.
  • Comfortable working in agile or fast-changing environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work across diverse sourcing requirements.
  • Ability to manage complexity and operate independently.
