We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Manager to join our online trade team here at Harrods. The Category Manager will manage an online area and be responsible for delivering the KPIs on those areas (Sales, margin and EBITDA).
About the Role
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the digital trading strategy across your category, combining customer insight, market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and regional opportunities to drive sustainable growth. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, and senior E-commerce stakeholders, you will shape category plans, challenge key performance metrics, and ensure financial targets are robust, achievable, and aligned to customer demand. You will also lead strategic engagement with brand partners, translating commercial objectives into actionable growth plans that maximise sales, customer relevance, and brand performance across.com.
- Foster a high-performing trading culture, leading your team to optimise assortment, merchandising performance, stock availability, and customer conversion through the use of predictive and real-time analytics.
- Partnering with CRM, Product, UX, Technology, and Marketing teams, you will continuously enhance the customer journey, prioritise development opportunities, and deliver impactful campaigns that drive engagement, conversion, and revenue.
- Overseeing category operations across multiple fulfilment models, coach and develop the Trade team, champion process efficiencies, and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives that support the wider digital strategy and business objectives.

About You
- Experienced Category Manager with previous years’ experience in digital trade and a proven track record of driving category performance and delivering sustainable business growth.
- Strong digital awareness, understanding the evolving retail landscape, staying ahead of market trends, and using customer and competitor insights to identify opportunities.
- Robust brand management expertise and an analytical mindset, leveraging data to make informed decisions that maximise commercial performance.
- Confident people leader with a demonstrated ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communicator and influencer, building trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation, aligning stakeholders around shared objectives and driving results through effective partnership.
- Resilient, adaptable, and accountable, thriving in fast-paced environments, confidently navigating change and ambiguity while maintaining focus on delivering commercial outcomes and role modelling company values.
