Category Manager
Salisbury (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)
Up to £60,000 + Benefits
Looking for an opportunity where you can shape procurement strategy, influence major business decisions, and deliver real commercial value?
ENB are supporting our client who are recruiting for an experienced Category Manager to join a growing procurement and sourcing team, taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of operational and asset related spend. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high value, business critical procurement projects, partnering with engineering and operational teams to drive long term value.
What will you be doing?
- Leading strategic sourcing projects from concept through to contract award.
- Developing and implementing category strategies across a varied spend portfolio.
- Managing complex procurement programmes and regulated tender processes.
- Creating innovative commercial models and evaluation methodologies.
- Leading supplier negotiations to secure the best commercial outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with operational and engineering stakeholders.
- Supporting long-term procurement planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Categories you will manage include: Operational assets, maintenance contracts, Equipment supply, Hire and hire purchase agreements and Operational service contracts.
What are we looking for:
You will need to have experience operating as a Category Manager with a strong sourcing background and a track record of delivering complex procurement projects.

Alongside that experience, we are looking for:
- End to end procurement leadership
- Category strategy development
- Complex commercial modelling
- Regulated or public sector procurement environments
- Knowledge of the Procurement Act
Experience within utilities, engineering, asset management or maintenance procurement would be a significant advantage, but we're also keen to speak with procurement professionals from other regulated industries.
