Looking for a category role where your insight can genuinely influence commercial decisions and shape customer growth?
We're partnering with one of the UK's most recognisable food businesses, part of a major European food group with a strong portfolio of market-leading brands and a significant presence across grocery, convenience, travel and foodservice channels.
This is an opportunity to join a commercially ambitious business where category management sits at the heart of customer strategy - using insight, data and shopper understanding to influence how products are ranged, merchandised and activated across some of the UK's most dynamic channels.
You'll be joining a collaborative, high-energy culture that genuinely invests in its people, with strong opportunities to develop your career within a business of significant scale.
The Opportunity
As Category Manager, you'll take ownership of category relationships across a portfolio of key convenience & impulse customers.
You'll act as a trusted category advisor, partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to translate data and insight into clear commercial recommendations that drive growth.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Category, Innovation and wider commercial teams, you'll shape category strategies, influence customer decisions and help unlock opportunities across some of the fastest-growing channels in FMCG.
This is far more than a reporting role. It's an opportunity to turn insight into action, influence customer strategy and become a key voice for the convenience channel within the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
