About The Team

You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Joybuy is looking for a results-driven Category Manager to join our European retail business. In this role, you will be responsible for category growth and commercial performance, covering supplier development, assortment planning, pricing, promotions, inventory management and sales performance. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to build a competitive product assortment and deliver sustainable GMV and margin growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the overall commercial performance of assigned categories, including GMV, gross margin, inventory turnover, availability and customer growth.
  • Develop and execute category strategies based on customer demand, market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Identify, develop and manage local and international suppliers, brands and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, rebates, promotional support and other commercial conditions.
  • Build and continuously optimise product assortment, including new product introduction and underperforming SKU elimination.
  • Develop competitive pricing and promotional strategies to drive sales while maintaining healthy margins.
  • Manage inventory levels, demand forecasting and replenishment to improve product availability and reduce overstock and aged inventory.
  • Monitor category performance and identify business opportunities through regular data analysis.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance and other commercial teams to deliver business targets.
  • Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers and explore opportunities for direct sourcing and long-term partnerships.
  • Track market developments, competitors, customer behaviour and emerging product trends across European markets.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, category management or commercial roles, preferably in retail, e-commerce and Fashion industry.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales, margin, pricing and inventory management.
  • Proven experience in supplier sourcing and commercial negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions based on business data.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
