We're looking for an experienced Category Manager, Indirect Procurement to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across key indirect spend categories, with a particular focus on HR, Payroll, and Travel.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys influencing senior stakeholders, leading complex sourcing projects, negotiating high-value agreements, and delivering measurable business value.

The Opportunity
As Category Manager, you'll own category strategies, supplier relationships, sourcing initiatives, and contract negotiations across a variety of indirect procurement categories.
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Information Security, Travel, and business leaders to ensure procurement delivers world-class value, service, compliance, and innovation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking, commercial negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic planning.
What You'll Do
Develop Category & Sourcing Strategies
- Lead the development and execution of category strategies across HR, Payroll, Travel, and related indirect spend areas.
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs, improve supplier performance, and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop long-term sourcing roadmaps aligned with business priorities.

Lead Strategic Procurement Projects
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Evaluate suppliers, commercial proposals, and sourcing options.
- Lead contract negotiations and supplier selection processes.
- Deliver sourcing projects that generate measurable business value.
Build Strong Stakeholder Partnerships
- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and procurement priorities.
- Support contract reviews, negotiations, and supplier governance activities.
- Act as a trusted advisor on procurement strategy and market trends.
- Influence stakeholders through data-driven recommendations and commercial expertise.
Manage Supplier Relationships
- Develop strong relationships with strategic suppliers and partners.
- Establish KPIs and performance measures.
- Conduct supplier reviews and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, and supplier risk considerations.
Deliver Commercial Insights
- Conduct market intelligence and supplier benchmarking.
- Build cost models and perform spend analysis.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
Drive Process Improvement & Innovation
- Improve procurement processes, controls, and governance.
- Leverage automation, analytics, and digital tools to improve procurement performance.
- Support Oracle Fusion and procure-to-pay processes.
- Contribute to internal controls, audit activities, and SOX compliance requirements.
Support & Develop Others
- Coach and mentor procurement team members.
- Share best practices and category expertise.
- Help build a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- 8+ years of indirect procurement experience.
- Strong sourcing and category management experience.
- Experience managing HR, Payroll, Travel, or related indirect categories.
- Proven track record delivering cost savings and commercial value.
- Experience leading complex supplier negotiations and contract discussions.
- Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance and supplier management.
Preferred Experience
- Global procurement experience.
- Experience working within large, multinational organizations.
- Oracle Fusion or ERP system experience.
- Experience supporting procurement controls and audit requirements.
- Exposure to procurement transformation, automation, or digital initiatives.
