Ready to take your procurement career to the next level? Influence £1bn+ of spend and play a pivotal role in building a world-class procurement function???

Category Manager, Indirect Procurement

Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week on site in the Midlands

Competitive salary + package

W Talent is supporting a well-established, multi-site organisation in the appointment of a Category Manager to join its central procurement function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to develop their career within a complex organisation, working across a broad range of indirect goods and services and delivering measurable commercial value.

The Role

You will play a key role in developing and delivering sourcing and category strategies across allocated spend categories. You will manage procurement activity from understanding business requirements and assessing market opportunities through to tender, negotiation, implementation, and supplier handover. The role is highly stakeholder-focused, requiring you to work closely with senior and operational colleagues across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
