Category Manager – IT Procurement

We are supporting a well-established organisation with the appointment of an experienced IT Category Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, you will take ownership of the IT category as part of a focused cost optimisation programme, identifying and delivering measurable commercial savings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead IT category strategy, sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
  • Analyse spend, contracts, and supplier arrangements to identify savings opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver category plans and commercial improvement initiatives.
  • Manage senior stakeholder and supplier relationships.
  • Track and report savings and commercial benefits.
  • Support wider procurement improvement projects.

  • Proven experience in IT procurement/category management.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
