Category Manager - Non-IT Procurement
Location: York, Norwich, Leeds or Bristol based (50% hybrid working)
Salary: circa £55,000
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping commercial decisions and building strong, trusted relationships across the business. You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of spend across HR Services, Financial Services and Marketing. It's a great opportunity for someone who wants to shape commercial strategies, influence sourcing outcomes and deliver meaningful value for Aviva. Working closely with stakeholders and suppliers, you'll help ensure commercial decisions support business priorities while balancing value, risk and supplier performance.
You'll work across a diverse portfolio spanning HR Services, Financial Services and Marketing, offering exposure to a broad range of supplier markets, commercial models and stakeholder groups.
A bit about the job:
You'll lead end-to-end commercial activity across a broad portfolio of HR Services, Financial Services and Marketing suppliers, helping ensure we secure value from our supplier relationships and sourcing activity. You'll help develop and implement category strategies aligned to business needs, lead sourcing and negotiation activity, and establish robust commercial agreements that effectively manage commercial, operational and regulatory considerations.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll provide commercial guidance and market insight to support sourcing decisions and supplier strategies. You'll also work with suppliers to drive performance, manage risk and support the delivery of business objectives.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience leading sourcing and negotiation activity across
- Good understanding of supplier markets, commercial models and contractual considerations
- Highly effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, establish credibility and influence decision-making
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear commercial advice and constructively challenge where appropriate
