Production takes place in Sweden, the UK and China, with the head office located at Skøyen in Oslo. Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for strategic procurement, category management and supplier development?

We are looking for a Category Manager Raw Material to join our Group Procurement team. In this role, you will own selected raw material categories across Orkla House Care, driving supplier performance, cost competitiveness, sustainability initiatives, and supply security. You will be responsible for developing and executing category and sourcing strategies, strengthening strategic supplier partnerships, and identifying opportunities that create long-term value across the business.

Working closely with colleagues across Procurement, R&D, ESG/Sustainability, Quality, and Operations, you will contribute to both short-term performance and long-term value creation. As our procurement organization continues to evolve, this role offers the opportunity to influence future ways of working and contribute to the further development of our category management approach.

The role reports to the Head of Raw Material Sourcing and can be based in either Bromsgrove, UK or Bankeryd, Sweden, where Orkla House Care has offices and production sites. We are also open to candidates based in the Malmö region, with a remote working arrangement combined with regular travel to Bankeryd and other Orkla House Care locations as required.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies that drive cost competitiveness, supply security, quality performance, and long-term value creation.
  • Lead sourcing activities including supplier selection, RFQs, benchmarking, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Build and develop strategic supplier partnerships to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable business practices.
  • Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, compliance, and sustainability requirements.
  • Identify and deliver cost improvement initiatives while managing supply risks and ensuring business continuity.
  • Support product development, investment projects, and cross-functional initiatives in close collaboration with Procurement, R&D, Quality, and Operations.
  • Utilize procurement data, analytics, and digital tools to support fact-based decision-making and reporting.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, we believe you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within strategic procurement, sourcing, or category management
  • Experience developing and executing category strategies and leading commercial negotiations
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a data-driven mindset
  • Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment
  • Knowledge of category management methodologies and procurement best practices
  • Experience with procurement systems, spend analytics, or digital procurement tools is an advantage
  • Understanding of sustainability, responsible sourcing, and supplier compliance requirements
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
