Category Manager Ingredients and Packaging
As a Category Manager Ingredients and Packaging in Aberdeen, you'll play a key role in the FMCG industry by managing procurement and supply chain activities. Your work will ensure smooth operations, cost efficiency, and strong supplier relationships.
Client Details
This role is with an established and growing business company operating in the FMCG industry and would be suited to a Category Manager with Food/Drinks/Ingredients/Packaging experience.
Description
- Develop and implement category strategies to meet business goals.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings or innovation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Analyse spend data and report on key performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.
- Lead supplier performance reviews to maintain high standards.
- Support the development of sustainable sourcing practices.

Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
- Experience in the delivery of Category/Commodity Management strategy for raw materials, ingredients and/or packaging within the FMCG/Food/Drinks/Chemicals industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of category management principles and market analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- An analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £45,000 to £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Permanent role based in Aberdeen.
