About the Role

The category manager is responsible for turning shopper & market data into actionable insights that drive category growth for our client and our retail partners. The role combines data analysis, category strategy and customer facing category leadership to influence ranging, merchandising, pricing and promotional strategy.

This is a highly innovative category, in growth with lots of opportunity for career development and progression.

This role acts as the link between commercial, marketing and retail partners to ensure decisions are insight led and aligned with shopper behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, socialisation, and delivery of a dynamic, insight-driven Category Strategy.
  • Building and managing trusted, influential relationships with our key retail partners.
  • Identify category opportunities through analysis of shopper behaviour, market trends & competitive activity.
  • Partner with our Brand Team to incorporate category, market, and consumer insights to drive innovation and growth.
  • Translate multiple data sources into clear, compelling, insight-led selling stories for our customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop deep understanding of shopper missions, behaviours and drivers, representing the voice of the shopper in our decision making.
  • Lead shopper insight projects to identify growth opportunities and commercial recommendations.

About You

The team are people focussed, and looking for someone who enjoys being an active team member, has already worked in the food sector and is keen for career development in a growing business.

They have several sites across the UK, so you can base yourself out of the following a few days a week in a site in either Manchester or Sheffield.
