About the Role

The Category Planning Executive plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of category strategy across the Revolution portfolio. Working closely with the Category team and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll use consumer, market, and commercial insights to help shape product ranges, optimise performance, and identify future growth opportunities.

You'll be responsible for analysing product performance, monitoring market and competitor activity, supporting new product launches, and maintaining the key tools and documentation that enable global teams to make informed commercial decisions. This is a highly analytical and collaborative role, ideal for someone who is passionate about beauty, commercially minded, and enjoys turning data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Performance & Analysis

    • Analyse product, brand, and category performance using internal sales data, retailer data, and market data to identify opportunities and risks.
    • Support regular category, franchise, and product range reviews with clear commercial recommendations.
    • Monitor launch performance, identifying successes, learnings, and areas for optimisation.
    • Produce regular reports, dashboards, and performance updates for key stakeholders.
    • Conduct ad hoc commercial analysis to support strategic decision making.
  • Category Strategy & Planning

    • Support the Senior Category Manager in developing category strategies, product assortments, and launch plans.
    • Help identify whitespace opportunities through analysis of consumer trends, competitor activity, and market performance.
    • Assist with pricing analysis and recommendations for new product development across global markets.
    • Contribute to range architecture and portfolio optimisation projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

Iโ€™m in my final year doing Economics and I donโ€™t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer โ€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donโ€™t need a masters. Letโ€™s look at the ones youโ€™d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet โ€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
