Job Description

About the role

As a Category Procurement Specialist – Industrial Packaging, you will play a key role in implementing and executing procurement strategies across the Industrial Packaging category throughout Europe. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure the business has access to high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective packaging solutions that support operational success.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will build strong supplier partnerships, monitor market developments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost efficiency, quality, sustainability, supply continuity, and innovation. Your work will have a direct impact on business performance across multiple locations and functions.

How You Will Contribute

  • Serve as the primary procurement contact for the Industrial Packaging category across Europe, partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
  • Implement and execute category strategies that support business objectives, cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply continuity.
  • Build and manage strong supplier relationships, including contract management, commercial negotiations, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor market trends, innovations, and supplier developments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, increased value, and greater competitiveness.
  • Lead sourcing and tendering activities, supporting supplier selection, contract implementation, and category development across the region.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, analyze spending and market data, and deliver sustainable procurement outcomes.
  • Engage with operational sites and suppliers to understand requirements, strengthen partnerships, and support long-term business success.

  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or a related field, ideally within industrial packaging, consumables, or a similar category environment.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices, supplier relationship management, tendering processes, contract management, and commercial negotiations within a European context.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across different functions, locations, and levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate data and market insights into practical business decisions.
  • Professional proficiency in English and willingness to travel across Europe as business needs require.
