Supply Chain Specialist
Defence & Security Industry | Hampshire (3 days onsite)
The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a leading global organisation within the defence and security sector, delivering mission-critical solutions across land, sea, air, space, and cyber environments. With a strong international presence and a multi-billion-pound turnover, this business plays a key role in supporting national security and complex technical programmes.
As part of a high-performing Procurement & Supply Chain function, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that directly influences significant spend and plays a strategic role in enabling business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
The Role
Sitting within a specialist supply chain team supporting a large, complex business unit, you’ll gain exposure to end-to-end procurement activity across a diverse supplier base. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing contract administration, including maintaining accurate records and processing contract changes
- Providing analytical insight to support commercial and procurement decision-making
- Supporting the development and tracking of KPIs to measure supplier and contract performance
- Running low-complexity sourcing activities and supporting supplier selection processes
- Identifying opportunities to increase engagement with SME suppliers
- Monitoring supplier risk across areas such as resilience, financial health, and sustainability
- Supporting Supplier Relationship Management through performance and spend analysis
- Contributing to a major systems transformation programme, including the transition to a new Source-to-Pay platform
- Driving continuous improvement across processes, systems, and ways of working

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and confidence working in hybrid teams
- Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail
- A proactive, curious approach with the ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Confidence to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements

Experience & Background
- Degree educated or equivalent experience
- Interest in pursuing or working towards MCIPS (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in using technology to enhance procurement and supply chain performance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)
