Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

  • You have strong catering or chef experience: You bring solid, hands-on occupational experience from the catering industry and ideally hold a professional culinary or catering qualification. You may already be an experienced Trainer/Assessor looking for your next opportunity, or you could be an experienced chef or catering professional ready to take the next step in your career and use your knowledge to develop others.
  • You ideally have an assessor qualification – or are ready to achieve one: Ideally, you will already hold a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), or an equivalent assessor qualification, and have experience of apprenticeship training or assessment. However, we recognise that great trainers can come directly from industry. If you have the right catering experience, passion for developing others and willingness to learn, we will support you to achieve your assessor qualification and develop into the role.
  • You are passionate about helping others succeed: Whether you are already an experienced assessor or looking to move into training and assessment, you will enjoy coaching, developing and motivating others. You will support learners throughout their apprenticeship, carrying out workplace observations, reviewing evidence submitted through their e-portfolio and identifying opportunities.
  • You are comfortable delivering face-to-face group training sessions at our EduBase Academy sites in Newport Pagnell, Oxford and Southall and at the learner’s workplace, cascading your knowledge of the apprenticeship standards to support learners to achieve.
  • You are an advocate for safeguarding: You always ensure the well-being and safety of the children in our nurseries, your learners and your colleagues.
  • You are collaborative: You enjoy working in partnership with others across our partnership and with external employers and professionals, are skilled in tailoring your communication and teaching style, will attend regular standardisation meetings, and direct and support your learners to resources in preparation for achieving functional skills.
