About The Role
Job Title: Catering Assistant - Driving Essential
School Location: St John the Baptist, Elmbridge Ln, Woking GU22 9AL
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Shifts & Working hours: 9am-2pm (25 hours per week)
Working Weeks: 37 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
Pay Details: £13,027.75 per Annum
Important:
This role involves driving, so you must hold a full, clean UK driving licence. You will be using an IFG company vehicle.
What will you be doing?
As a Catering Assistant (Driver), you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality food service between our main school kitchen and a nearby site.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Packing meals and supplies into an IFG van
- Driving to a local school site
- Unloading, setting up, and serving food to students and staff
- Returning to the main kitchen site after service
- Supporting the catering team to deliver a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service
- Assisting with basic food preparation and snack service
- Operating the till and providing counter service
- Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy at all times
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with great customer service skills. Experience in catering or retail is helpful, but not essential—if you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll support you to learn.
