Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Brannel School, in St Austell. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our food service operations, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared and served to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. This position is 10hrs Monday to Friday - 12-2pm

- Assist in the preparation of delicious meals and snacks, following recipes and portion guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, counter, and dining areas
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and food safety standards
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service during meal service
- Assist with food inventory management and stock rotation
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment and utensils
- Adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Passion for food service and customer satisfaction
- Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
- Knowledge of food safety principles and willingness to learn and apply health and safety procedures
- Previous experience in a food service role is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
