Role Overview

Working in the site Canteen as part of the onsite Catering Team, duties include responsibility for hot and cold food preparation, cooking and serving meals to our employees, using the till and providing an exceptional customer experience so employees can enjoy refreshments or meals in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for hot and cold food preparation
  • Cooking and serving meals to employees
  • Using the till
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Crafting eye-catching food and counter displays
  • Supporting meal and refreshment preparation for visitors to site
  • Working within designated margins and costings
  • Making suggestions for new product lines and meal ideas
  • Responsible use of resources and cost control
  • Operate the till and handle transactions
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
  • Cleaning of equipment and catering areas
  • Restocking food items, condiments, and utensils
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Adhere to food safety regulations
  • Correct use and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records and accounts
  • Completing associated paperwork
  • Undertaking required training

You’ll be someone who:

  • Takes initiative and enjoys getting things done
  • Follows instructions and works with care and consistency

  • Is reliable and hardworking
  • Previous food preparation or catering experience is beneficial, not essential, and full training will be given to the successful candidate including Food Safety Level 2 Training.
  • Enthusiastic and friendly personality, providing service with a smile.
  • Able to read, write and speak English, with additional languages skills of benefit.
