Catering Assistant
Roehampton Gate School is recruiting for a catering assistant to join their catering team! We are looking for passionate people, who can support the provision of the catering operation assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene and who can promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People. In this role, you will under direction, take responsibly for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures and assist the Chef with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these. This role is 20 hours per week, term-time only.

About The School
Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9 - 16 and offering a Post 16 Campus from 16-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. We aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment.

Main Duties
- Assists with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures.
- Under direction, takes responsibility for parts of the catering operation.
- As part of the catering team, the role holder will be required to ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s AssuredSafe Catering policies and procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience preparing and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment along with the following characteristics:
