Catering Assistant
Location: Shrewsbury Sports Village, Shrewsbury SY1 4RQ
Salary: £8.00 - £12.71 per hour (dependent on age) plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Casual contract – working a mixture of shifts, earlies, lates and weekends to meet the business requirements.

As a Catering Assistant, you'll help create a welcoming environment where customers can relax and recharge during their visit. From preparing and serving food and drinks to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, your work has purpose and contributes to a positive impact on communities. Every interaction is an opportunity to deliver great service, build trust, and support healthier, happier lives.

- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across all catering areas
- Follow health and safety procedures and relevant legislation at all times
- Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Support the day-to-day operation of the catering service to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Identify and report any issues, opportunities for improvement, or equipment concerns to management
Does This Sound Like You?
- Previous experience within a catering environment
- Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification, or willingness to achieve this
- A positive, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and remain calm in busy environments
- Reliable, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards of service and care
