Catering Assistant Wanted
We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly Kitchen Team.
The role is family-friendly, being term-time only and working 10.30am-2.30pm every day. It includes such things as washing crockery and utensils, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, helping to clean and clear after lunch, and generally being a part of a busy but lovely Kitchen Team.
For the right candidate, there is a chance to work Front of House, serving break and lunch to colleagues and children.
Further Information
Our Kitchen Team is comprised of our Catering Manager, our Pastry Chef, our Assistant Chef, and a team of Front of House and Catering Assistants. It is a busy team but a friendly one who provide two lunch sittings per day, one at 12pm to our younger children, and one at 1pm to our senior children. Colleagues eat at both sittings. We prepare our food in-house with the menu changing on a weekly basis.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
