An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the Bereavement Services catering team at Coney Hill Cemetery and Crematorium.
Where you will report to the Bereavement services catering supervisor. We are a small friendly team operating within the public sector providing catering facilities to bereaved families and the public.
We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to become part of the Bereavement services catering team in the day to day running of the facility on site at the Cemetery and Crematorium.
Main duties will be preparing and serving food and drink, taking bookings from funeral directors, the general public, in person and by phone. Attention to detail is essential as this is a key role in ensuring all food is presented to a high standard.
You will be dealing with the bereaved often, in stressful circumstances it is therefore essential that you have a high level of empathy and good communication and customer care skills.

The wake facility is operational from Monday - Friday, with an occasional weekend twice a year.

The council is not currently able to offer sponsorship in this role. Candidates will need to have right to work that enables them to commit to at least 6 months employment. Right to work is not transferable from a sponsored role held with another employer.
