Catering Assistant (Retail)
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant (Retail) to join our team working within The Lamp and The Bistro at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly and dedicated team committed to providing a high-quality catering and retail service to patients, visitors, and staff.
We are looking for compassionate, caring, hardworking, and flexible individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and enhancing the patient experience.
About the Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of The Lamp and Bistro, serving food and beverages, operating tills, replenishing stock, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring high standards of food hygiene and customer care at all times.

- Delivering excellent customer care by demonstrating helpfulness, awareness, and compassion towards patients, visitors, staff, and colleagues.
- Serving food, beverages, and retail items in a professional and friendly manner.
- Carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with departmental cleaning schedules, including equipment, work surfaces, crockery, and cutlery.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and infection prevention.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the retail outlets as part of a collaborative team.
Requirements
We are seeking team members with excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the service.
