Catering Assistant

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Catering Assistant to support all aspects of our catering operations. This varied role will include sandwich preparation, vegetable preparation, food service, and occasional travel to local sites to support catering and delivery activities.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a catering environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, proactive approach with a genuine ‘can do’ attitude
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to remain calm in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • A good understanding of basic food handling and food preparation practices
  • A food hygiene certificate is desirable, but not essential

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the preparation and production of hot and cold meals across our Cowick Hall and Rawcliffe Bridge sites
  • Preparing sandwiches, salads, buffets, while assisting chefs with food production as required
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and serving areas
  • Assisting with the set-up and clearing of catering areas for daily service and events
