Description

PLEASE NOTE: This role is employed via our restaurant provider Angel Hill Food. The working pattern is 6.30am to 14.30pm OR 10.30am to 06.30pm

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Catering Assistant to join our restaurant team. The purpose of the role is to partake in the production, presentation and serving of food to an agreed standard and to present a professional image to all customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items as allocated.
  • Carry out food preparation as directed.
  • Set up cutlery and serviettes as necessary.
  • Prepare food as directed by Catering Manager.
  • Serve customers where directed.
  • Notify customers where directed.
  • Notify Manager of replenishment requirements.
  • Keep kitchen & production areas clean and tidy.
  • Keep restaurant seating area clean and tidy.
  • Assist in the completion of records of food production and recording of temperatures of hot and cold food as required.
  • Coffee machine set-up and cleaning
  • To maintain a high level of customer awareness.
  • To promote customer loyalty and goodwill.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer contact, keeping complaints to a minimum and ensuring these are dealt with professionally and promptly.
  • To develop additional sales through participation of theme days, and other promotions.
  • To promote secondary sales through customer contact.
  • To report any possible sales opportunities to your Manager.
  • Clean preparation areas, service areas and wash up areas.
  • Store and replace clean utensils and crockery.
  • Maintain and clean the food and equipment store, as directed.
  • Sweep and clean the floors, using correct chemicals and slippery floor notices.
  • Store cleaning equipment.
  • Dispose of rubbish as directed.
  • Ensure dining area is clean and tidy.
  • Comply with cleaning rota as directed.
  • Comply with all requirements regarding Health & Safety.
  • Comply with Company COSHH regulations.
  • To report suspicious occurrences to management immediately.
  • To be responsible for stock and cash within personal control.
  • To maintain all company property in a secure manner.
  • To complete company paperwork as directed by Manager.
  • As directed maintain all receipts of cash.
  • Record all free issues as required.
